Privacy and KVKK Notice

How your personal data is processed, who it is shared with, and your rights.

Note on language

This is a courtesy translation. The Turkish version of this notice is the authoritative one and prevails in case of any discrepancy, as Farmagile operates under Turkish data protection law (KVKK, Law No. 6698).

1. Data controller

The data controller is [LEGAL ENTITY / FULL NAME], [ADDRESS], contact [CONTACT EMAIL].

2. Data we process

  • Identity and contact: first name, last name, email address, and phone number if you provide one (it is optional).
  • Plant and diagnosis data: the names you give your plants, species and growing environment, the photos you upload, your notes, and the diagnosis results.
  • Usage data: sign-up date, last sign-in, number of diagnoses, and the amount of AI processing each one used.
  • If you use the app without an account: your IP address is stored as a salted hash. The address cannot be recovered from it, it is never linked to your identity, and its only purpose is to stop the free trial being abused. The photo you upload and the diagnosis produced from it are kept for 24 hours so that you can create an account and move the result into it; if you do not, both are deleted. The usage record is kept for at most 7 days.

You decide what goes into your photos and notes. Please do not put sensitive information — health data, precise location, or details about other people — into those fields; they are meant for plant health.

3. Purposes and legal basis

We process your data to create and manage your account, produce a plant health assessment from your photo, show you your diagnosis history, track your usage allowance and any payments, and keep the service secure. The legal basis is performance of a contract and legitimate interest, and your explicit consent for the transfer of data outside Turkey — which is why you are asked to tick the box at sign-up.

4. International transfers and providers

  • Anthropic (USA) — the plant photo you upload and the note you write are sent to Anthropic's AI service to produce the diagnosis. This is how the service works; without your consent no diagnosis can be produced.
  • Supabase — database, authentication and file storage (Frankfurt, Germany).
  • Vercel — application hosting (Frankfurt, Germany).
  • Resend — sending confirmation and notification emails.
  • Cloudflare — domain and DNS.

These providers process your data only to deliver the service. Your data is not sold or shared for advertising.

5. Retention

Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account yourself from within the app; doing so deletes your plants, diagnoses and uploaded photos.

Two exceptions, stated plainly: sign-ups whose email address is never confirmed are deleted after 24 hours, and that deletion — including the email address used — remains in our event log so we can spot delivery problems and typos. Second, if payments are introduced, invoice and payment records may need to be retained for a statutory period even after an account is deleted.

6. Who can access it

An authorised administrator can access your data for support and service quality purposes, including the photos you upload and your notes. Access is limited to the smallest number of people needed to run the service.

7. Your rights

Under KVKK article 11 you have the right to know whether your data is processed and to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing, to know the third parties it is transferred to inside or outside Turkey, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion or destruction, to have those actions communicated to third parties, to object to a result produced solely by automated analysis, and to claim compensation for damage. Write to [CONTACT EMAIL] to exercise them.

8. Nature of the AI assessment

The diagnosis is an AI estimate based on a photograph, not a definitive diagnosis, and it is not a substitute for professional agronomic, veterinary or medical advice. Follow the instructions on the label of any fertilizer or treatment you apply, and consult an expert where it matters.

9. Changes

This notice may be updated; the current version is published on this page and we may ask for your consent again after a material change. Version: 2026-07-30.
